Amanda Lo

Amanda is the manager of the nsaTax Accounting division and has over 10 years of accounting experience in public practice.  Her professional qualifications include certification as a Chartered Accountant and she has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Taxation.

Amanda started her accounting career as a financial accountant in a multinational corporation in Auckland then progressed to be an auditor during her OE.

On returning to New Zealand, Amanda entered the world of chartered accountancy.  She has a wide range of accounting and taxation experience spread across trusts and small to medium-sized companies.

Kim Lawrence

Kim is a Chartered Accountant, and has over 20 years of experience in public practice.

During her career Kim has performed various functions for a wide range of clients, including:

• Preparation of financial reports and income tax returns

• Assisting clients with day to day administration and reporting

• Special projects completing financial statements from incomplete records

• Assisting clients in dealing with the IRD on investigation and arrears matters

She also spent two years in the corporate world of London during her traditional Kiwi OE.

Outside of the office, Kim enjoys live theatre, dance and music. Kim has developed a taste for overseas travel, but her days on the backpacker trail are over.

Justin Gibson

Justin joined the nsaTax team in February 2010 after gaining experience in a mid-tier accounting firm in Auckland.

Justin aims to keep in regular contact with clients with a view to assisting management with all issues of their business and creating long standing business relationships.

He has experience in assisting clients with:

• Financial statements and income taxation returns

• New Zealand International Financial Reporting

• Special accounting and consultancy projects

• Solving practical business issues

• General taxation issues

Justin completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Waikato University (majoring in accounting) in 2004 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2007.

Sharon Chan

Sharon joined the nsaTax team as a Chartered Accountant in July 2009.  She has worked in chartered accounting practices for the past seven years. 

Sharon’s education includes a Master of Commerce in International Business at the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance at the University of Auckland.  During her studies, she travelled to Japan and China where she learned their unique cultures and languages.

Sharon started her chartered accountancy career in an accounting firm in Hong Kong, which specialised in forensic accounting.  Upon her return to New Zealand, Sharon spent a few years working in a business advisory role and progressed to an audit role in a chartered accounting practice based in West Auckland.

Sharon deals with a wide range of clients, both local and international.  Her current role includes preparation of financial reports and tax returns and other special accounting and consultancy projects.

Outside the office Sharon enjoys travelling, exploring different cultures and wine appreciation.

June Bao

June joined us in January 2009 after working in various accounting and administration roles for several years.  She has a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accountancy.

In her current role, June is responsible for a wide range of tasks within the accounting team, including accounts and tax returns preparation, tax assessments, annual returns, accounting and tax administration.

Lara Sherlock

In 2010 Lara completed her Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting) and has recently transferred from the administration team, where she has spent the last five years running our training seminars, to the accounting team.  In her new role she is responsible for accounts and tax return preparation, GST returns, tax assessments, and general accounting duties.
