Janice has over 21 years’ experience as a solicitor, specialising in taxation. Her career includes 14 years in in-house roles at Inland Revenue, where she spent eight years providing technical and legal support to investigators in the regulatory, compliance, and enforcement areas. She later served in an interpretative role within the Public Rulings unit of the Tax Counsel Office.
Before joining Inland Revenue, Janice spent more than seven years in private practice, gaining extensive experience across a broad range of legal areas.
Janice is admitted as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and New South Wales, and as a solicitor in South Africa. She holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees, as well as a Master of Taxation Studies (Second Class Honours).
Outside of work, Janice enjoys reading, playing the piano, and singing.
